Discover Kemmer View Estates
Kemmer View Estates began construction with its first home in 1986. It is comprised of 91 homes bordered on the East by 175th Avenue and on the South by Kemmer Road (The Urban Growth Boundary). There are three phases to Kemmer View. Phase II actually being the first set of 18 homes built, beginning as the 1988 Street of Dreams. This phase is primarly served by entry at 182nd Avenue. Phase III homes then filled out the Remaining side of this development. Phase I homes are the Eastern side of KVE and were built later, primarly served with entrance off Kemmer Road at 176th Avenue. The last home built in Kemmer View finished construction in 2005. The three phases of Kemmer View share a privately owned and maintained forest and nature trail for hiking -- a place to find peace and quiet, a private place for Homeowners to get away from it all.
Life on top of Cooper Mountain
One of the interesting things new homeowners often discover at 770+ feet up, is just how different the climate can be. Often waking to gorgeous morning sunrises above the cloud and fog layer, occasionally socked right in the thick of the sweeping clouds. Often windy, and certainly more harsh in the winters, temperatures usually are 3 to 7 degrees cooler than on the valley floor. If there is a threat of snow, you'll usually find it here first. And when there is snow at the valley floor, you can expect 2 to 4" more at the top.
Summers are less intense often cooled with a gentle breeze, Spring starts a couple weeks later, and Fall starts a little sooner on the mountain, but one thing is for sure... the four mountain views (Mt Rainier, Mt. Saint Helens, Mt. Adams, and Mt Hood) are fantastic to look at year-round!
